Exactly the kind of specialist trip I was hoping to find.
I travelled alone and my main interest was butterflies, although I also wanted to photograph dragonflies and anything else we found along the way. Sameera was excellent company and, more importantly for me, genuinely interested in the smaller wildlife. We visited very different habitats, from Talangama and Kitulgala to Sinharaja, Horton Plains and the highlands. I was surprised by how much the species changed as we moved around the country. Some days we spent a long time in a very small area because there was simply so much to find. There was never any pressure to move on just because the itinerary said so. For anyone interested in insects and photography rather than only the usual large mammals, I can strongly recommend travelling with these guys.
